It has fantastic heat and drought resistance but it will not do good in shaded areas, so it is not recommended if your home has lots of trees in the yard. We offer these Bermuda Sods for delivery:

  • Tifway 419 Bermuda:

Tifway 419 is a tough but beautiful turf grass that thrives in hot climates and drought. This turf grows quickly, which means it recovers quickly from injury or neglect. It is often used on golf courses, sports fields, and residential lawns. Because Tifway 419 grows quickly and is a thicker turf it is highly disease resistant and doesn’t allow as many turf weeds. It thrives on a low mowing height of about ½-¾ inches.

  • Tifsport Bermuda:

Unlike Tifway, Tifsport is more cold hardy. It also has a finer texture than Tifway. Tifsport does well with high traffic, drought, and pests. It recovers quickly from injury or neglect and is pest resistant. Tifsport can be installed during the winter months when it is dormant and will grow when the weather gets warmer. This turf grass does fine with a wider range of mowing heights and is often used on sports fields.

  • Riviera Bermuda:

Riviera Bermuda turf grass is more cold tolerant than the other Bermuda turf grassess. It is often used on golf courses, sports fields and residential and commercial lawns. This turf recovers well from injury and does well in direct sunlight. It does well with a mowing height of ½ inch to 2 inches. Riviera Bermuda also has a good tolerance for pests and disease.
